deadinside.cc ("we", "us", "our") operates this website and the associated Dead by Daylight modification software (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the Service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Information we collect

• Account information: Email address and hashed password upon registration. We do not store plaintext passwords.
• Hardware identifiers: A one-way hash of certain hardware identifiers is used for license binding. The raw hardware data is never stored on our servers.
• Payment information: Payments are processed through third-party providers (Stripe, cryptocurrency processors). We do not store credit card numbers or bank details.
• Usage data: Aggregated, anonymized metrics such as loader launch counts and active sessions. This data is used to improve the Service and prevent abuse.
• Log data: IP addresses, timestamps, and request metadata collected for security monitoring. Logs are retained for 14 days.

How we use your information

We use collected information to:

• Operate and maintain the Service
• Authenticate your identity and manage your license
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Prevent unauthorized access and license abuse
• Send transactional emails (account verification, billing notices)
• Improve the Service based on aggregated usage data

We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited data with:

• Payment processors: Email and subscription details for billing
• Infrastructure providers: Our servers run on third-party infrastructure. These providers do not have access to your account data.

Data security

We use encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. Hardware identifiers are stored as irreversible hashes. All communication between the loader and our servers is encrypted.

Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days. Server logs are automatically deleted after 14 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Your rights

You may:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your account data
